The Parks and Recreation Department will host an Arbor Day Tree Planting Celebration on Monday, April 29 at the Rotary Community Garden (located on the east side of City Hall). The event begins at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department will be donating a tree to the Community Garden for the annual celebration.
The event will conclude with the planting of the tree and a proclamation recognizing Cape Coral as a Tree City USA.
This is the 28th consecutive year the City has received the Arbor Day Foundation designation. Tree City USA recognizes communities that have proven their commitment to an effective, ongoing community forestry program.
