Dog Show Extravaganza
The Greater Fort Myers Dog Club is happy to announce our Dog Show Extravaganza. This is a 3 DAY event. There will be AKC Conformation, rally, and obedience. Along with Dock Diving, Fast Cat, American Temperament Testing, CGC Testing, Trick Dog Testing, Dog Supply Vendors, Rescue Row, Deputy Dogs and much more!!! A portion of the proceeds of this event will be donate to local area shelters. To enter the event is FREE. There is a $5 per car parking fee. Hours: Friday 9 am – 5 pm; Sat & Sun 8 am – 4 pm at the Lee Civic Center.

This family friendly event features all your favorite farm attractions, non-stop egg hunts, scavenger hunt, egg painting, food truck. Over 30 Activities, 300 animals that you can hold, touch and feed, petting zoo, maze, butterfly experience, bird aviary, and more. It’s an EGG-citing way start the spring season! Easter Bunny meet-and-greets takes place each hour throughout event at Springtime Farms Adventure Park in North Fort Myers. Naples’ thriving arts and culture district expands nationally at the last major winter art show of the season. This 2-day event, both Saturday and Sunday from 9 am – 5 pm, features jury selected artists from across the country showcasing their work from 17 artistic mediums. Find just the piece of fine art or fine craft you’ve been seeking while leisurely strolling scenic downtown Naples on prestigious 5th Avenue South with its upscale shops and restaurants. This event is FREE to attend.

Downtown Fort Myers River District is transformed into a craft lovers dream with exhibitors displaying their hand-crafts during the 2-day Edison Festival event, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm. The annual Crafts on the River is a FREE, non-juried event open to local and national artisans and crafters. The event delights in old, new and unique items that come from all over the world. Original designs are displayed by artists in an informal atmosphere that encourages visitors to talk with the artists about their work and, in some cases, see them in action.
Join us for the Edison Festival of Light Food Trucks & Craft Beer Festival! Attendees will experience mouth-watering cuisine by some of the area’s most creative food trucks on Saturday from 2 – 8 pm in the Fort Myers River District! The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation department’s Free Movie in the Parkseries continues this Saturday night Featuring Hoot (2006) from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at Rotary Park. Sun Splash Family Waterpark is offering a special admission price of $12 per person (plus tax) the final two weekends of the 2020 season – September 19-20 and September 26-27.
No special coupon is required; however, the special is not valid with other coupons or discounts. In addition, under Phase 2 reopening guidelines, the park is currently operating at a 50 percent capacity, so guests should plan to arrive early in the day to ensure park entry. No rainchecks will be issued, and normal daily parking fee applies.
“This is the last chance for guests to slide into Sun Splash this season, but at great savings,” said Sandie Greiner, Waterpark Manager. “We encourage everyone to come out and take advantage of the special $12 pricing and enjoy the waterpark one final time before we close for the year. It’s our way of saying thank you for the community’s ongoing support.”
Sun Splash is open weekends only from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through September 27 and will reopen in March for the 2021 season.
Sun Splash Family Waterpark is gearing up for the holiday weekend and a special military admission discount. Southwest Florida’s largest waterpark will be open Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather permitting) for Labor Day Weekend.
On Labor Day Monday, September 7, Sun Splash will grant free admission for active or retired military, disabled veterans and military reservists with ID or contract. A discount is available for up to four family members accompanying military personnel with an active ID or contract on September 7 only.
“After an incredibly hot, humid and different kind of summer, Sun Splash is the perfect place to cool down this long holiday weekend,” said Sandra Greiner, Waterpark Manager. “We are looking forward to hosting local residents and area visitors alike for safe and refreshing fun!”

Mother’s Day Make-Up Dates Allow Moms to Splash Free with Purchase of Child Admission
Sun Splash Family Waterpark is offering free admission to moms the weekend of July 11-12 with the purchase of a regular priced child or teen General Admission ticket. This special promotion, which is typically held during Mother’s Day Weekend in May, was rescheduled this year since the waterpark was temporarily closed at the time.
“We recognize that family entertainment budgets are limited, so, even though it is a few weeks later than normal, we are pleased to offer this special to moms as a fun way for families to spend quality time together,” said Sandie Greiner, Waterpark Manager.
