Chiquita Boat Lock and Cape Coral Boat Ramps Remain Open

The Chiquita Boat Lock remains open for normal operations from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The Lock provides boaters with Gulf access from the Camelot Canal and Southwest Spreader Waterway.

Additionally, Cape Coral’s five public boat ramps remain open. Boats are required to remain at least 50 feet apart with no more than 10 people allowed on each boat. If a decision is made to close the boat ramps, an announcement will be made on the City’s website and social media pages.

There have been some requests to keep the Lock open at all times; however, this cannot be done due to strong currents and other safety factors.

The Chiquita Boat Lock and the municipal boat ramps are managed by the Marine Services Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. For more information, call (239) 574-0809 or visit www.capecoral.net.
