Cape Coral Emergency Management is continuing to actively monitor Hurricane Dorian. The Cape Coral EOC has activated to a Level III. A Level III activation is a partial activation that involves enhanced monitoring of the storm, which has the potential for escalation. While Lee County has declared a local state of emergency, the City of Cape Coral has not declared a local state of emergency. We are prepared to do so, if necessary.
“We are prepared as a City. I urge our residents to also be prepared,” said Mayor Joe Coviello. “I recommend that the community be informed, be ready and be calm.”
