5th Annual Touch a Truck Fort Myers

Pediatric Dentistry of Florida and Dr. Tim Verwest are is hosting the fifth annual family-friendly ‘Touch-a-Truck’ Fort Myers on Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm. Touch-a-Truck is a hands-on experience where children will be able to learn about their favorite trucks and vehicles, plus interact with those who drive them. Children will be able to be as if they were the true professional behind the wheel. Featured vehicles will include emergency service, law enforcement, military, public service, and local commercial businesses. There are a limited number of pre-sold tickets for the event. The cost per child is $5 and can be purchased online or in person the day of the event with either cash or card. Touch-a-Truck is located at Pediatric Dentistry of Florida, 8016 Summerlin Lakes Dr in Fort Myers.

May Day Festival

The event is FREE to attend for everyone. Join us in Babcock Ranch for our inaugural May Day Festival on Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. Maypole dancing is a tradition on May Day. May Day celebrates communities coming together. It celebrates “Home Towns.” The festival includes: Croquet exhibition match by Babcock Ranch Resident Croquet Group, Magic Show, Music, Maypole Traditional Dance Show, Art & Craft Vendors, Food trucks, Axe throwing (Cost), Games and more…

Join  aesthetician Dawn-Renee Eisenhauer and halotherapist Jennifer Bartolo on Saturday starting at 10 am for a fun day of Facials & Mimosas in Cape Coral. Enjoy mimosas, light snacks, facial treatments, dry salt therapy treatments and a product demonstration featuring Monat Skincare Products. The fun is FREE, so stop in for mimosas, snacks and some much needed girl time. Only pay for any services you may want. Services for skin are 30 minute treatments for $45, dry salt therapy treatments 10 minutes for $25. All services must be booked prior to event by calling Dawn at 239-249-5918.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Let’s do the time warp again! Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium has historically been a supporting location for the coveted movie, Rocky Horror Picture Show! We are excited to bring back this timeless tradition to raise money for our operating funds and educational projects! Meatloaf sandwiches, wedding cakes, squirt guns, rice, newspaper, and toast will be available for the interactive screening! Tickets are just $10 each and can be purchased online. Gates open at 8 pm. Movie will start around 8:30 and will be shown outside on the lawn, so bring a lawn chair, a blanket, and bug spray. All appropriate items (including meatloaf) are available for purchase, no outside food or drink allowed!

25th Annual Taste of the Beach

The 25th Annual Taste of the Beach will be held this Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm at Salty Sam’s Marina. Restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes available for purchase and compete for top Taste of the Beach Award honors in the categories of Best Appetizer, Best Beef Entree, Best Seafood Entree, Best Chicken Entree, Best Vegetarian/Vegan, Best Dessert, Best Decorated Booth, and People’s Choice. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Food will be served until it runs out or 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children over 12. Children under 12 are free.
