On October 8, 2019, around 10:10 pm, Officers responded to the 1000 block of NE 8th St due to a disturbance.

When the officers arrived on scene, they began to investigate the disturbance, when James Lee Hall, B/M, DOB: 9/28/73, exited his residence and had a handgun in his hand.

Hall was told to put his handgun down, but he did not do as directed. While he was raising his arm with the handgun in it, he fired one shot and Officers returned fire. Hall was shot in the wrist and has wound to his head. Our Officers were not injured. Hall is being treated for his injuries, which are not life-threatening.

This is an active investigation at this time. More information will be released as it is confirmed to be accurate.
