On May 22, 2019, around 4:00 pm, Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service on SW 33rd Ter in reference to a burglary. A neighbor noticed the screen door on the front door open, a broken window in the rear, and two window screens removed.
Upon arrival, Officers cleared the scene. The front door of the home was found ajar, a 52-inch TV and clothes in the master bedroom had been set on fire, and a Mazda convertible that was stored in the garage was now missing.
Detective Kurt Grau of the Property Crimes Unit arrived on scene and took over the investigation. Cape Coral Police Department Forensics arrived to process the scene, a Fire Inspector with the Cape Coral Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall came to the scene to investigate.
The vehicle the suspect took is a red 1997 Mazda convertible 2-door with the first three of the Florida tag being JCV. The suspect is wanted for Burglary to a Residence, Grand Theft Auto, and Arson.
