Meet Cape Kid with Style Morgan Clouse

Morgan Clouse is a 2017 graduate of Cape Coral High School, where she earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma endorsement, graduating 5th in her class with a 5.52 GPA.

While at CCHS she participated in sports playing volleyball and was a 4-year varsity letterman in lacrosse. She was involved in numerous clubs in high school including IB Ambassadors, National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies National Honor Society, Odyssey of the Mind (OM), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and Seahawk Buddies mentoring club.

Throughout her years in middle and high school, Morgan was very involved in activities at her church, Faith Presbyterian. She participated in Youth of Faith, the weekly youth group program. She also participated in a girl’s mentoring program, ConneXion. This is a program for middle and high school age girls to help them navigate the challenges of growing up, encouraging positive choices and teaches practical life skills. She began the program as a mentee and transitioned to a mentor during high school.

She was a 7-year member of the Faith Media Team. This group is responsible for all the technology involved in delivering Sunday services including cameras, PowerPoint, audio equipment, and live streaming.

For four years, she attended the Cabell-Lincoln County work camp in rural Huntington, West Virginia. Participants in this work camp make home repairs and rebuilds with the goal of making the houses warm, safe and dry for those who live there.

Morgan also served a Youth Deacon her senior year of high school. Throughout her high school career, Morgan accumulated over 1000 hours of community service.

Morgan is currently attending the University of Florida, where she is majoring in nursing with the hopes of continuing her education after her bachelor’s degree and becoming a nurse practitioner.

She is enjoying her transition to college. She attends sports events, participates in student government activities, has joined Young Life and is a member of the University of Florida chapter of Best Buddies. Best Buddies is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-on-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Morgan is an extremely goal driven young lady that lives her life with compassion and the desire to make a positive difference in the world.
