The City of Cape Coral is partnering with the Cape Coral Charter School Authority to host a “Unity Celebration” on Monday, January 15 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Oasis High School Gymnasium, located at 3519 Oasis Boulevard. The public is invited to attend.
The theme for this year’s annual celebration is “Keep Marching On.” The keynote speaker will be Chief Tracy McMillion. Chief McMillion serves as the Division Chief of Training for the Iona-McGregor Fire Department. Celebration activities include an invocation from Cape Coral Fire Chaplain Bob Ossler, readings by charter school students and entertainment by the Oasis High School Acapella Group. The celebration will wrap up with light refreshments and a ceremonial walk around the school campus.
