A daytime call for shots fired generated a large police response and ended with no one injured and two in custody.
Cape Coral Police Patrol officers responded to a disturbance in the 2800 block of NW 4th Avenue in which shots had been fired. Officers quickly set up a perimeter to contain the scene and all involved parties were detained. It was determined no one had been injured, and Major Crimes detectives arrived to investigate the incident.
The investigation determined probable cause for two juveniles, Elisha Williams (B/M, DOB: 11-10-2003) and Dorian Goode (B/M, DOB: 10-8-2003) for the crime of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against two victims, who had been sitting in a vehicle in the driveway.
Goode was alleged to have pointed a firearm at the two victims and then fled on foot, with the victim deciding to follow Goode and call police. Goode retreated back into the residence as the victim parked in front of the home. Williams then exited the home and fired rounds at the victim’s vehicle, causing the victim to flee the scene for their safety.
Both Williams and Goode were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Both were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
