As part of the Lee County Port Authority’s Stay Safe – RSW Cares About You program, Southwest Florida International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration are introducing several recent touchless travel initiatives.
The short-term parking lot includes a new ticket dispenser that operates with a hand wave instead of a button to push for a ticket and to open the gate. In addition to extensive cleaning and disinfecting measures throughout the airport, other Stay Safe touchless initiatives include hand sanitizer stations, social distancing signage, floor markers throughout the terminal and Plexiglas shields at all customer touchpoints.
In addition, the Transportation Security Administration’s “Stay Healthy. Stay Secure.” campaign launched mid-pandemic and features the proactive and preventative measures taken at security checkpoints to make the screening process safer for passengers and their workforce by reducing the potential for exposure.
