More area movie theaters reopen today after all cinemas closed for many months because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets went on sale Wednesday for Silverspot Cinema at Mercato in North Naples. The cinema first reopens at noon today with showtimes until 9 p.m. for its first-week hours, but will still be closed Mondays and Wednesdays for now. Regal Coconut Point in Estero also resumes showtimes today. AMC’s Merchants Crossing 16 in North Fort Myers reopened Thursday and most other theaters relaunched last week or earlier.
Following CDC guidelines for health and safety measures during the pandemic, moviegoers will be required to wear face masks while in the lobbies, hallways and restrooms of theaters.
