The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center Hosts the 2nd Annual Wicked Walk

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and The Sidney & Berne Davis Arts Center will hold the 2nd Annual Wicked Walk.

Over 400 students from Cypress Lake High’s Center for the Arts, Dunbar High, Estero High, Harns Marsh Middle, Lehigh Senior High, Mariner High, North Fort Myers High, South Fort Myers High, Dunbar Middle, Oak Hammock Middle, Trafalgar Middle, and Veterans Park Middle will be participating in this event.

Students will bring the Fort Myers community a wicked performance perfect for the Halloween season. This is the largest original collaboration between art teachers in the School District of Lee County.

“This year’s Wicked Walk exponentially tops last year.  There are so many students and teachers involved and a variety of performances and visual art works that will simply amaze audiences.  Last year just seemed to inspire all the arts in the school district to bring out their best for 2019,” stated Patty Gair, Dance Teacher at Cypress Lake High, Center for the Arts and Art Director of The Wicked Walk.

The stage will be set when guests arrive on the steps of the Sydney & Berne Davis Art Center where they will be greeted by zombies with dance moves that will give you chills. As guests enter the art center Macbeth’s witches will lead you to be entertained by the Addams Family, Young Frankenstein, Edgar Allen Poe and many more characters from literature, film, musical theatre, music visual and performing art surrounding classic tales of horror. Interpretations may run the spectrum from comedic to melodramatic to romantic.
