CCPD VIN Unit Arrests Man for Selling Drugs Within 1,000 Feet of School

An ongoing narcotics investigation by the Cape Coral Police Department’s Vice, Intelligence & Narcotics (VIN) Unit concluded with the arrest of a drug dealer now charged with several counts of selling dangerous drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.

Over the course of the investigation, CCPD detectives assigned to the VIN Unit conducted controlled buys of narcotics from Franklin Holiday Jr. (B/M, DOB: 9-29-86). These sales occurred in the Family Dollar parking lot located at 2012 Santa Barbara Boulevard South, a location that is within 1,000 feet of two schools.

On July 3rd, 2019 at approximately 9:55 am, the VIN Unit, along with the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at Holiday’s home, located at 110 SW 19th Terrace. Prior to service of the warrant, Holiday was observed by VIN surveillance detectives leaving the residence in a vehicle which was stopped and ended with Holiday’s arrest for the previous drug transactions. The warrant then yielded several types of narcotics from Holiday’s home.

Holiday was charged with several counts of narcotics sales within 1,000 feet of a school in addition to other drug-related charges and was transported to the Lee County Jail.

ARRESTED: Franklin Robert Holiday Jr., B/M, DOB: 9-29-86, of 110 SW 19th Terrace, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Sale of Opium or Derivative Within 1,000 Feet of a School (7 counts), Possession of Opium or Derivative With Intent to Sell, Production of Marijuana Within 1,000 Feet of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)
