Two Suspects From Retail Theft Identified and Arrested!

In September 2018, a black female and white female entered Burlington Coat Factory at 1810 NE Pine Island Rd. They loaded up a shopping cart with miscellaneous clothing, removed security devices attached to the clothing, and left the store without paying. Collectively the females stole $600 of merchandise.

The video and photos were posted on our website and Social Media in an attempt to help identify the suspects. The community was able to assist in their identities: Ashley Nicole Bland (W/F, DOB: 04/04/1995, 1012 Grant Ave, Lehigh Acres) and Deedee Arlene Turner (B/F, DOB: 10/18/1993, 2210 Cuba ST, Fort Myers). Detective Christenson completed a warrant request for each which were approved by the State Attorney’s Office. Bland was arrested on January 7, 2019 and Turner was arrested on May 16, 2019.

Bland was taken into custody on the warrant on January 7, 2019 and taken to Lee County Jail.

Turner was taken into custody on the warrant on May 16, 2019 and taken to Lee County Jail.
