On February 21, 2019, around 8:13 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to a retail theft call for service at 3920 Skyline Blvd; Walmart Neighborhood Market.
According to Assistant Manager, two black males (shown below) entered the Neighborhood Walmart and selected two gift cards and a pair of sunglasses. The two males, working in tandem, approached a teller and requested that the gift cards be loaded for $495.00 each. The teller loaded the gift cards for the requested amount. While the teller awaited payment from one of the suspects, the second suspect distracted her long enough to allow the first suspect to reach around the counter and total out the transaction without submitting any form of payment. When the transaction was processed, the cash drawer opened, and a receipt printed. The teller did not realize that the transaction was processed while she wasn`t paying attention; therefore, she closed the drawer and thought nothing of it. The suspects then grabbed the receipt and left the store.
The first suspect is a thin build black male, approximately between 5`7” – 5`11”, between 170 and 190 lbs. He was seen wearing a dark jacket with a wool collar, dark ball cap, black pants with a solid white stripe down the side and dark in color tennis shoes.
The second suspect is a medium build black male, approximately between 6`0” and 6-3”, between 200 -230 lbs. He is seen wearing dark shorts, navy blue or black long sleeve shirt and blue and white tennis shoes.
