A July robbery has been solved due to collaboration between the community and the Cape Coral Police Department.
On July 7, 2018, at approximately 12:09 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to a robbery at the Seven Eleven convenience store located at 798 Del Prado Blvd North. The suspect stated he had a gun but no weapon was ever seen. The clerk put the cash drawer on the counter and the male grabbed the money and left the scene on foot. A Cape Coral Police Major Crimes Unit detective was assigned the case and received several tips from citizens within the community. Because of the combination of great community involvement and police work the detective was able to identify Daniel Patrick Sullivan (W/M, DOB 06/16/1978) as the suspect in the robbery. During the investigation, it was revealed that Sullivan had a warrant out for his arrest from Orange County, California for parole violation. The United States Marshal’s Task Force was able to track Sullivan down in Tampa, Florida. Sullivan was arrested for the parole violation and extradited to California.
A warrant was approved for the arrest of Sullivan in reference to the Robbery at the Seven Eleven, 798 Del Prado Blvd North, Cape Coral. On August 29, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the warrant for the robbery had been served in Orange County, California.
