Cape Coral is a Generous City

How Cape Coral Community Foundation is Cultivating Generosity & Fostering Hometown Pride through Volunteerism and Charitable Giving

Cape Coral is a generous city, and the job of the Cape Coral Community Foundation is to take that generosity, multiply it, mold it, shape it and make its effects greater than what can be achieved just as a sum of its parts. They start here, where we live, to create a ripple effect that makes good on our tagline, identifying the foundation as, “The Global Center for Generosity.

Let’s count down the top 5 ways we are able to generate that ripple, enhancing the quality of life for our community that in turn becomes an endless wave.
Number 5: Distribute more than $300,000 to local nonprofits through grants and distributions
As a community Foundation, we spend every day working to improve the lives of everyone in our community, and our success lies in our ability to leverage the giving of many to make the greatest possible impact. Every year, we grant more than $300,000 directly from our community impact and giving funds and support non-profit organizations that work every day to make our community a better place to live, work and play.
Number 4: Provide 12 educational workshops for local leaders of nonprofit organizations
Nonprofits are the backbone of our community, and the Cape Coral Community Foundation, the Global Center for Generosity, helps provide the fortification to keep them healthy and strong! With education comes knowledge, leading to stronger, more viable nonprofits. We offer 12 workshops led by experts to help nonprofits maximize their impact, strengthen their organization and gain valuable ideas to help safeguard their resources.
Number 3: Award 50 scholarships to local students
As the cost of college continues to rise, so does the financial need of many students. Each year, we provide scholarships to 50 students, empowering educational attainment and enabling hundreds of local youth to achieve their dreams.
Number 2: Play the lead funding role supporting the creation of a nonprofit capacity building program to help nonprofits fund overhead, operations and mission
In partnership with generous corporate partners, Cape Coral Community Foundation provides technical assistance to nonprofits in volunteer recruitment, leadership, board development and fundraising. We also assist them in creating innovative revenue models.
Number 1: Help families, individual donors, companies, nonprofits, churches, ministries build and grow charitable giving
As a community foundation, we establish corporate charitable giving funds, and offer a wide-range of giving options that can make a difference in the community, rally employees, foster a loyal customer base and help achieve business goals.

Become a corporate partner, open a giving fund, start an endowment, serve on an advisory committee, volunteer with our nonprofit members – however you want to get connected in Cape Coral – contact us today! We are your center for generosity!
