Captain Christopher Reeves of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was honored as “Officer of the Year” at the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South’s fourth annual Law & Order Ball on Oct. 21 at Germain Arena.
This event raises funds to support local law enforcement youth programs, Fort Myers Rotary South Foundation and Fund-A-Need Initiative.
Reeves, the North District commander, has been with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for 23 years. During his career, he has been assigned to patrol deputy, property crimes detective, major crimes detective and narcotics detective.
Reeves’ community service includes raising money through numerous activities for the Boys and Girls Club, United Way and Lighthouse of SWFL Inc. He also raises money for over 50 scholarships for after-school youth activities. He hosts food drives for the homeless and the hungry, often donating his personal vacation home to help raise money for these causes.
Congratulations to Capt Reeves and to all the finalists and nominees.
