Results of Cape Coral Police’s 7th Annual “Holiday Heroes” Food Drive for the Harry Chapin Food Bank

We are extremely pleased to announce the final totals for our 7th annual Harry Chapin Food Drive! On November 13th the Cape Coral Police Department collected 2,222 pounds of food, as well as a donation to the Harry Chapin Food Bank in the amount of $2,070.00

“This year both locations did a tremendous job in collecting food and money for a great cause. It was awesome to see so many people with open hearts giving what they could. I’m proud to be part of this great event year after year.” – Sergeant Carlos Mena, Cape Coral Police Department SWAT Team.

Thank you to the media outlets who spread the word, Walmart Super-center and Walmart Neighborhood Market for hosting us, and the caring public for their incredible generosity!

“We are very grateful for the support of the Cape Coral Police Department and the public. The police are heroes not only at the holidays, but every day, for their selfless service and keeping us safe.” – Richard LeBer, president and CEO.
