Robbery and Aggravated Battery With Firearm Suspect Caught

On August 15, 2018, around midnight, Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service in reference to a robbery at Nice Guys Pizzeria.

The victim went into the alleyway behind the business to smoke a cigarette during a break when he watched as a Kia K-900 pulled into the alley. Kirtis Edward Jackman (W/M, DOB: 12/31/1983) walked up to the victim and pointed a handgun at him. Jackman told the victim to get onto the ground and then struck him in the back of the head with the firearm. Jackman threatened to harm the victim and demanded his phone which he gave to the suspect. Jackman then fled the area.

A Cape Coral Police Major Crimes Unit detective filed for a warrant on Jackman which was later approved by the State Attorney’s Office. On September 13, 2018, the United States Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force located Jackman and placed him under arrest.

Jackman was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

Jackman was transferred to the Lee County Jail.
