Lee County Domestic Animal Services hosts “Deck This Kennel”

Lee County Domestic Animal Services Animal Services is switching things up and having a holiday version of its popular “Flip This Kennel” competition. The outside of a dog kennel or cattery will be decorated in holiday themes to help bring attention to adoptable pets.

The competition will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, when visitors can come to the shelter and vote for their favorite kennel or cattery. All pets in a decked out run will have adoption fees waived that day with an approved application. People also may vote on Animal Service’s Facebook page by liking the picture of their favorite and winners will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 19.

The adoption package includes spay or neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, county license and a 10-day health guarantee. This is a $500 package.

Volunteers and staff are waiting to introduce a new family member. Stop by the adoption center 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers.

Visit our website www.leelostpets.com to view all pets currently available and to complete an online adoption application.
