Cape Foundation Names New Board Chair

Dana Brunett named new Cape Foundation Board Chair

 
Dana Brunett has a wide range of experience in the economic development field, including multi-state community development, developing and managing small business lending, training and technical assistance programs for large, small and micro businesses.
 
He holds a B.S. in Economics from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He is a recipient of the John J. Gunther Award for Creating Economic Opportunity from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and sits on numerous board and committees in Cape Coral and throughout Southwest Florida.
 
“We are thrilled to have Dana serve as board chair,” says Community Foundation President & CEO Michael Chatman. “His insight and passion for community development is a good match for our new strategic plan and entrepreneurially-driven philanthropy model. Dana’s leadership will help the Foundation and the board maintain strong momentum as we move forward together.”
 
Dana Brunett begins new role on July 1, 2018, following in the footsteps of Brian Gomer (2015 – 2017) and Dennis Gingerich (2017 – 2018).
