Arrest Made in Online Threats Made Against Oasis Elementary School

The Cape Coral Police Department has made an arrest in a case of online threats of violence made against Oasis Elementary School.

Early this morning around 7:30 a.m., Cape Coral Police received out-of-state information regarding a threat made against “Oasis Charter Elementary School” made in an in-video-game chat session. Extra officers in addition to the School Resource Officers were immediately dispatched to the school for extra presence and as a precautionary measure. 

Detectives worked to determine the origin, specificity, and credibility of the threat, and before the school day was over they had identified an Oasis High School freshman student, Nathaniel Gallini (DOB: 3-28-03) as the one who made the threat. Gallini has been arrested on felony charges; more information will be released when available. There are no known, credible dangers to the schools at this time.

Cape Coral Police officers remained on the campus for the duration of the school day until all students were dismissed from the campus. See below for this morning’s original news release:
