Brotherly Love (of Car Burglaries) Leads to Bust

Two brothers who share a common bond of burglarhood were caught in the act by Cape Coral Police.

On October 14, 2017, at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of SE 7th Street in reference to a vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, a citizen told police he had seen two males, one in an orange long sleeve shirt and the other in a black shirt, go into his neighbor’s parked vehicle. Ofc. Michael Scarlato located a pair of men matching this description in a nearby driveway in the process of searching another vehicle. The two were identified as brothers Kevin Curtis (DOB: 5-16-88) and Keith Curtis (DOB: 10-2-92). Further investigation led to probable cause for the arrest of both brothers for burglary of a vehicle (2 counts each) and they were both transported to the Lee County Jail.
