Lee County kids got prepared for the upcoming school year at the Big Backpack Event.
More than 2,000 students received free backpacks, school supplies and haircuts.
A special thanks to the dignitaries from the city of Fort Myers, Lee County school board, Sheriff’s office and fire department, who attended the event today to volunteer and meet the community in attendance.
