A Lunch & Learn to Give Professional Financial Advisors Key Tools for Success
Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Faith Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall
Lunch provided
On January 12th, the Cape Coral Community Foundation (CCCF) will present the expertise of gift-giving guru, Phil Cubeta at a Professional Financial Advisors Lunch & Learn hosted by Faith Presbyterian Church. Cubeta has more than 20 years of experience in charitable gift planning and currently directs and teaches the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) curriculum at The American College of Financial Services.
“The average donor has seven percent of their assets in cash but 93 percent in non-cash assets such as real estate, life insurance, stocks and personal property,” says CCCF President & CEO Michael Chatman. “This presents an incredible fundraising opportunity for nonprofits, and an opportunity for advisors to increase assets under management.”
Those who attend can expect to learn why charitable gifts of non-cash assets should matter. Here are some key considerations:
- Successful business owners seldom hold much in cash
- The bulk of their assets are, generally, tied up in the business, or in real estate
- Charities almost always ask for cash. After cash, they seek public assets – assets that are the responsibility of financial manager
- The win/win is to have clients donate non-cash assets as part of an overall plan for wealth transfer and business exit
- In the process, by using the right charitable tools, advisors can expect to take their Assets Under Management business to a new level
While the event is free, we ask that individuals register by calling or emailing the Cape Coral Community Foundation at 239-542-5594 or CCCF@CapeCoralCF.org. Please specify how many parties plan to attend.
