The Rotary Club of Cape Coral is pleased to announce it’s 2016-17 Scholarship recipients. Sierra Spillane has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the Cape Coral Rotary Foundation Endowment Fund. A graduate of Oasis Charter High School in Cape Coral, Spillane is an English major and sophomore at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). This is the second time Spillane has been awarded a scholarship by the foundation.
“I am excited to be an upcoming sophomore and continue on my path to getting a degree. I am very appreciative of the scholarships that I received from the Cape Coral Rotary Club last year and this upcoming year. It eases the expenses of college and assists me in such helpful ways. I am so thankful for all the members of the club for truly making college a great experience for me.” said Spillane of the scholarship.
Spillane, who carries a 3.25 GPA at FGCU, will be a transient student at Florida State University for the summer and then in the fall she will be in London, England to pursue her English major studying abroad. The following spring she will be returning to FGCU.

Issued its charter by Rotary International in 1964, the Rotary Club of Cape Coral, Florida is a not-for-profit organization of approximately 75 men and women who meet for breakfast at8:00 a.m. every Wednesday at the La Venezia Ballroom in Cape Coral, to enjoy fellowship and a meal, to hear an informative program and to discuss and plan service projects.
