Aamier Jjordan Williams, 22, of Cape Coral, was found guilty as charged with three counts of Lewd or Lascivious Battery, for sexually assaulting a young teenager. A jury returned the guilty verdict Wednesday evening following a two-day trial in Lee County.
In July 2020, the victim told a family member about a sexual attack that happened and was immediately taken to a hospital. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to investigate.
The defendant had been at an apartment complex pool with some other people. The victim was drinking something that made her feel intoxicated and a short time later the defendant took her to a car and sexually violated her. He then took her to a nearby tennis court and violated her again.
Williams was arrested for the crime by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office following their investigation.
Steven Wayne Masek, 56, of Cape Coral, was found guilty as charged of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Battery, Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Short-Barrel Shotgun.
He was immediately sentenced to 25 years in prison on count one. He was sentenced to five years in prison on the other counts, which are to run concurrently.

In April 2020, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Lee County residence after getting reports of someone being shot. There were two victims at the scene. A female had a head injury and said she had been hit in the head with the butt of a shotgun by the defendant. A second victim, the woman’s adult son, had a gunshot wound to the leg. Both identified Masek as their attacker.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit further investigated and that led to the arrest of the defendant.
Horacio Johnson, 39, of Cape Coral, was sentenced to life in prison immediately after being found guilty as charged of Sexual Battery – Victim Less than 12 Years of Age and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation. He was also sentenced to 30 years in prison on count two.

In 2019, the defendant coerced a child into sexual acts and then raped the child at a home in Cape Coral. The child reported the crime to an adult and the Cape Coral Police Department was contacted. Their investigation led to the arrest of the defendant.
Garnett Gary Salmon, 40, of Cape Coral, was sentenced to life in prison and designated a Sexual Predator for crimes against a child.
In September, Salmon was found guilty as charged of Engaging in an Act that Constitutes Sexual Battery Upon a Child 12 Years of Age or Older but Younger than 18 Years of Age by Person in Familial or Custodial Authority.

The crimes occurred between 2015 and 2017. In 2019, the victim told an adult what happened. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and began an investigation.
The case was brought to the State Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit and a warrant was issued for Salmon’s arrest. An officer with the Cape Coral Police Department located the defendant and took him into custody.
Garnett Gary Salmon, 40, of Cape Coral SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON
Cristian Edwin Dilan, 23, of Cape Coral, was found guilty as charged for the murder of a woman in Bonita Springs.
The jury returned the guilty verdict following a five-day trial in Lee County. Dilan was found guilty of Second-Degree Murder, Robbery, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Burglary, and Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
On October 29, 2017, a woman was found dead inside a Bonita Springs home that was on fire. The 34-year-old victim was found by firefighters, under a mattress, with numerous stab wounds.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded and began an investigation that led to the arrest of Dilan and a co-defendant, Raymond Gomez, who is awaiting trial.
Sentencing for Dilan is scheduled for August 23rd.
