Rotary Park to Host Burrowing Owl Festival

Cape Coral’s 20th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival will be held at Rotary Park on Saturday, February 26.

The festival, located at 5505 Rose Garden Road, will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The cost to enter is $5 per person, and children under the age of 16 are free.

The Burrowing Owl Festival, which is sponsored by Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife and Cape Coral Parks and Recreation, takes place each year to educate residents on Cape Coral’s official bird.

There will be educational programs, children’s crafts, guided walking tours, and bus tours to nearby owl burrows.

Attendees will also have butterfly house access and get the chance to see live animals. Food will be available on site.

Make sure to stop by the Parks & Recreation FUN-Mobile at the festival for free, fun activities for children.
