A Fort Myers man has been charged with second degree murder after an early morning argument resulted in a shooting.

On January 1st, 2022, Cape Coral Police officers responded to a shooting at 4240 SE 20th Place.

Officers located a gunshot victim deceased, and took into custody Trace Thomas McDowell (W/M, DOB: 11-22-1997).

McDowell was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and was later transported to the Lee County Jail.
