More Exceptional Youth Receive “Do The Right Thing” Awards

The Cape Coral Police Department today honored students at both Cape Coral High School and Gulf Middle School with “Do The Right Thing” awards.

Please join us in recognizing and congratulating them!

Noah Kemerer, 10th Grade – Cape Coral High School

Noah witnessed a motorcycle crash and he, his brother and a friend stopped immediately to assist. They found the driver lying on his side pinned underneath the motorcycle.

The boys were able to get the motorcycle off the driver, and Noah suggested they stabilize the man’s neck since he was unable to move. Noah took control of the situation and 911 was called.

Noah’s quick actions got the driver the help that he needed.

Kevin, Zachary, Levi and Isaac found a wallet in the parking lot of Dollar General and told the cashier.

They indicated they saw an ID, personal information and pictures but did not remove anything from the wallet.

The boys wanted to turn the wallet in with the hope that the rightful owner could be found.

Dominic Shannon 11th Grade – Mariner High School (Not Pictured)

Dominic found money in the cafeteria and turned it in to a school official. The money was returned to the rightful owner who was very appreciative of Dominic’s honesty.

Thank you to all of these fine students for being a shining example of what it means to “do the right thing.”
