Music Walk

The River District comes alive on the third Friday of the month, from 6 – 10 pm, as local and regional musicians line the streets for Music Walk. From jazz and blues to rock & roll, many genres can be heard and vary each month. FREE to the public with many venues featuring additional attractions and specials. This event is always rain or shine.

SOUNDS OF SUMMER: DUELING PIANOS

SOUNDS OF SUMMER SERIES FEATURING DUELING PIANOS AT THE SIDNEY & BERNE DAVIS ART CENTER! The series begins Friday night with the ever popular Dueling Pianos, an interactive music experience where the audience picks the setlist! Dueling Pianos will feature two grand pianos placed back to back in the center of SBDAC’s Grand Atrium with an audience seated in the round. Featured pianists, Sarah Hadeka and David Rode will take audience suggestions for the next song in their setlist. However, it’s up to the piano players what songs will be featured. Audience members are encouraged to have fun and sing along. Doors open at 6:30 pm, cocktails will be available. Music performance begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 per person and available online.

28th Annual Downtown Venice Craft Festival

Located in Sarasota County, this 2-day event follows the popular March Art Classic. Some of the nation’s best crafters will converge along West Venice Avenue for 28th Annual Downtown Venice Craft Festival, one of Venice’s popular downtown streets. Peruse booths filled with stained glass, photography, personalized products for children and dogs alike, and much more! Stroll our Green Market for plants, handmade soaps, tangy BBQ sauces, and live orchids. Both Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm each day. Admission is FREE!

Celebrate Father’s Day at the Shell Factory Nature Park. Opens at 10am. It’s the Day of the Dad Cookout! Free admission to The Nature Park for all Dads! Dad’s ride the Soaring Eagle Zip Line FREE! Free Scallywags Mini Golf for the whole family. Special Fun Park packages and free live entertainment. Sunday from 3 – 7 pm.

There will be art, music, dance, food, games, and much more during this Cultural and Father’s Day celebration! Registration enters you into Prize Drawings!
