Two Gulf Middle School Students Receive The Do The Right Thing Award

The Do The Right Thing Program recognizes students who have done the “Right Thing”. Two Students at Gulf Middle School received the Do The Right Thing Award for their actions.

Michelle Santiago is in the sixth grade and found a cell phone on her way to school. Michelle was able to find the owner and return it to them. For her honesty in locating and returning the cell phone its owner, Michelle received the Do The Right Thing Award.

Jayden Witsche is also in the sixth grade. While in gym class, Jayden saw a conflict between students and immediately alerted the teacher. The teacher was able to stop the conflict before it escalated any further. For Jayden’s bravery to stop the conflict by notifying a teacher, he received the Do The Right Thing Award.

Cape Coral Police Department is honored to continue its recognition of the amazing kids we have in Cape Coral.
