A Southwest Florida company is offering a new clean energy solution. 

Kelly Roofing is installing a new Tesla solar glass roof on a Cape Coral home. The system uses the complete roof to generate, store and provide clean energy. 

The Solar Energy Industries Association said sun power in the U.S. is growing and nearly $9 billion have been invested in Florida solar.

Ken Kelly of Kelly Roofing said users in Florida can still generate power even after a hurricane or power outage. 

Kelly said the photovoltaic panels that generate electricity and power homes are an investment.
