Arrest Made in June Drive-By Shooting Case

A man already arrested for making electronic threats related to a June drive-by shooting case has now been charged in the shooting itself.

On June 24, 2020 at around 10:05 pm, Cape Coral Police patrol officers responded to 756 SW Pine Island Road (Hurricane Grill & Wings) to investigate a shooting call. When officers arrived on scene they learned that a person in a vehicle driving eastbound on Pine Island Road had fired multiple shots towards the restaurant. One person in the outdoor seating area sustained an injury as a result of the shooting.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit began investigating the case, and five days later on June 29th arrested Ryan Jastrow (W/M, DOB: 4-6-84) for making written threats to kill and aggravated stalking. The investigation to connect Jastrow to the shooting itself continued, and detectives were able to develop probable cause to charge Jastrow with the shooting.

Jastrow turned himself into Cape Coral Police on the morning of August 12th and was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He was transported to the Lee County Jail.
