Installation of Parks GO Bond Signs Begins at Future Park Sites

City crews have begun installing signs at future neighborhood and community park sites. The signs are part of the Parks GO Bond project and are being installed to inform nearby residents of the upcoming construction activities that will be taking place in their neighborhood.

The 10 new signs will be installed at the following locations:

  • Gator Circle Park
  • Sands Park
  • Lake Kennedy Racquet Center
  • Yellow Fever Creek Preserve
  • Tropicana Park
  • Cultural Park
  • Lake Meade Park
  • Oasis Woods Park
  • Crystal Lake Park
  • Festival Park

Public engagement meetings will take place this fall to solicit input on the amenities for the new parks.

Cape Coral voters approved a $60 million expansion of the city’s parks and recreation amenities in November 2018. The approved 15-year general obligation bond will fund major parks and recreation improvements throughout the city. These improvements include seven new neighborhood parks and the development of three community parks. The parks projects also include improvements to existing parks citywide.
