The 6th Annual Taste of the Cape is a community event that celebrates both culinary arts and music. The event is being held in Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral on Sunday, March 10th, 2019.
Sample an international array of great food from local restaurants, plus a wide variety of craft beers and wine. Enjoy musical performances from local bands and finish the day with another sensational Symphony at Sunset with Gulf Coast Symphony. Enjoy a selection of light classical, pops, and Broadway favorites in a beautiful Southwest Florida setting—from Southwest Florida’s premier community orchestra!
The Gulf Coast Symphony and Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce Education Committee are again co-presenting Taste of the Cape, with all proceeds going to the Education Committee’s scholarship program and the Gulf Coast Symphony’s music education and community programs. The event is being presented by the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation.
Taste of the Cape features local restaurants serving up their signature dishes and offering a range of tastes available right in Cape Coral, musical performances, and juried arts and crafts for sale by local artisans. Participating restaurants to date include: The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, Applebees, Big Blue Brewing, 4 Sestras Bistro to Go, The Breaking Bread Company, Cork Soakers, Jet’s Pizza, Perk & Brew, Palmetto Pines Country Club, Pinchers, Texas Tony’s and Zirilli’s Chilly Treats.
Taste of the Cape runs from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 10th, with musical performances throughout the day. Bands to perform are The Collective, Heat Latin Jazz, Steve E. George, and the Gulf Coast Symphony performing a Symphony at Sunset concert at 4:30 pm.
Admission is free, with food and drink prices ranging from $3–$8. 100% of proceeds from this event go directly to local student scholarships and music outreach programs in the community.
