Suspect Steals Eight Firearms from Family Member

On November 28, 2018, Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service at 1311 SE 23rd ST in reference to theft of firearms.

The victim reported that eight of his firearms were stolen: two semiautomatic handguns and six revolvers that were located in his bedroom.

A Cape Coral Police Department Property Crimes Unit detective arrived on scene and took over the investigation. It was determined through the investigation that the granddaughter, Sierra Eva Arredondo (W/F, DOB: 08/01/2003), who lives at the residence, had stolen the eight firearms. At this time, none of the firearms have been recovered. The investigation into the location of the firearms is still ongoing.

Sierra was charged with 8-counts of Grand Theft of a Firearm. She was later transferred to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
