Section of Burnt Store Road To Be Closed Temporarily for Utilities Extension Project

The northbound and southbound lanes of Burnt Store Road will be closed to thru traffic, between SW 1st Terrace and Ceitus Parkway, beginning November 15.

This closure is necessary for the ongoing North 2 Utilities Extension Project (UEP). Access to Burnt Store Road will be maintained for local traffic only. The road is expected to reopen November 19 and the detour route will be marked with signage.

The Burnt Store Boat Ramp will remain open during this construction. Drivers are urged to use caution in all construction areas and seek alternate routes, when possible. Please allow extra travel time to avoid delays.

The North 2 UEP is a Cape Coral utilities project that involves the installation of water, sewer and irrigation services to more than 8,900 parcels. Construction in the North 2 area began in October 2017 and is expected to finish in 2020.
