Emily Umana was born May 8, 2011, Mother’s Day, in Cape Coral Hospital.
Emily is a sweet, kind 7-year-old who brings joy to everyone’s life. Those who know, her love her. Everyone always compliments her on her sweet, innocent, distinctive voice and her long curly hair.
She goes to school at Patriot Elementary where Emily is in second grade.
Emily began to dance at age 3. She started with a creative movement class once a week for fun. At first, she was extremely shy, but by the age of 5, Emily began to ask for additional dance classes.
I soon realized Emily’s passion for dance. Emily started to take acro and contortion classes, too. By age six, she competed with her first solo dance at Groove Competition, scoring first place platinum in her age group.
Soon after, we began to drive out of town to attend other competitions. Emily had a great competition season, surrounded by friends and family. Emily loves school, Disney trips, playing with friends and going to competitions. Emily also enjoys playing in the pool.
She takes pride in being so flexible and bending her body in different ways. Emily dreams of one day being on the show “Little Big Shots” and one day meeting Sofie Dossi. Her long-term goal is to be as amazing and talented a contortionist as Katarina Maybritt Danks. She also wants to be a dance teacher.
Emily, we are all so very proud of you. We love you! Thank you for having such a kind heart, never missing a chance to tell your family that you love them and always offering to help others.
