Gallery Reception: Aquarium

Friday:  The Cape Coral Arts Studio is proud to feature a different exhibit each month in the Fine Arts Gallery. Its upcoming gallery exhibit “Aquarium” is a favorite of many local artists. This shows theme is water life and open to interpretation and to all media. The exhibit will be on display August 31 through September 27. A reception to view the exhibit and meet the artists will be held on Friday, September 7 from 5-7 pm. Admission to both the exhibit and reception are FREE and open to the public.

Friday:  FREE Movie & Concessions * Sherlock Gnomes* Invite your family and friends!
Everybody from the community is invited! FREE Movie, FREE Hot Dogs, FREE Popcorn, FREE Candy, FREE Drinks & FREE Prizes! Food is served at 6:30 pm. Showtime 7:00 pm. Cape Vineyard Church in South Cape.


Parade for Heroes

Saturday:  Help pay tribute to our 9/11 heroes with a Parade For Heroes down Cape Coral Parkway in South Cape starting at 10 am. Bring your lawn chairs, bring your flags and honor the heroes in our community. After the parade, stop by the SWFL Military Museum & Library for a Heroes Lunch from 11:30 am – 1 pm. Just $7 per person for lunch, enjoy entertainment by the Hot Flashz and Chicago Heat.


Free Multi-Sport “Adaptive” Clinic for Kids

Saturday:  Join Let Kids be Kids for a FREE Multi-Sport Clinic with ” Adaptive” coaching. Baseball, hockey, football, softball, and dodgeball! Come out from 10 am – 1 pm to the Pelican Baseball Fields and play with MLB stars to include Eric Rasmussen, Lenny Harris, and Michael Tucker, Florida Everblades John McCarron and Ernie Hartlieb, Running back and speedster Noel Devine, FWS and FGCU girls softball players and coaches! Roger William Young from Cinder/ Soapy Tuna will be present to instruct and jam with a select few!


Astronomy Night @ Seahawk Park

Saturday:  The Southwest Florida Astronomical Society, Inc. (SWFAS) will be hosting a free, family night of night sky observation at Seahawk Air Park! Experts from the Society will have telescopes and viewing equipment set up and will be on hand to explain what can be seen at Astronomy NightFree to attend! No flashlights, please!
