Intoxicated and Suspended Driver Crashes Into Marked Police Car

On July 23, 2018 at approximately 4:50 PM, an intoxicated female crashes into the back of a marked Cape Coral Police car.

A Cape Coral Police Officer was on Hancock Bridge Pkwy W when Mary Ann Walsh (W/F, DOB: 02/12/1950, 1101 Van Loon Commons Cir # 305) rear ended the marked patrol car. A traffic crash investigation determined that Walsh was the at-fault driver and a DUI investigation ensued which resulted in her arrest. Walsh had a Breath Alcohol Content of 0.115 g/210L and a suspended license. Walsh was charged with DUI with Property Damage, DUI, and Driving on a Suspended License.

Walsh was later transferred to the Lee County Jail.

The Cape Coral Police officer suffered minor injuries.
