Cape Kid with Style Kara Perchall

Submitted by proud mom Denise Perchall

Kara M Perchall was a Freshman at Mariner High School (MHS) this 2017-2018 school year.

Kara grew up doing a bunch of things like cheerleading, dance, bowling, roller skating, karate, swimming, tennis, modeling, karaoke, and golf … and she really excelled in all.

Her grace and sense of rhythm helped immensely when participating in cheerleading, dance, karaoke, school plays, and modeling.

Kara has done fashion shows/runway work for Gymboree, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Belk, and David’s Bridal. She participated in The Event in Orlando and even had an agent. She was part of the Ms Coconut’s Royal Court for the Coconut Festival for 3 years.

When she finally decides to sing at Karaoke (it’s not too often and there’s usually bribery involved to get her up to the microphone)… most people will stop just to listen to this talented individual.

Maybe because of her brother, or maybe it is her natural talent, but she’s gravitated to both tennis & golf. Kara is on both teams for Mariner and enjoys being a part of the teams. She actually received her first trophy in Golf from MHS.

Kara is starting to take an interest in psychology and is doing really well in the Veterinary Academy offered at Mariner. She’s received numerous Academic Achievement awards, and has participated in great causes and programs throughout the years.

She’s been brought up in a single parent household. Her mother made sure that she was exposed to the culture of theater, church, sports, and travel.

She has a strong faith and attends church with her mother and brother. Sometimes you’ll find her volunteering her time operating their lighting equipment or volunteering in the Cafe during Sunday Service at Bridge Community Church.

Since Florida is a vacation destination for most of the country, you may find Kara and her family hopping in a car, grabbing a hotel room anywhere in Florida from St Augustine down to the Keys… and just enjoying what the destination has to offer.

Kara enjoys sporting events, school, friends, family, movies, shopping, shoes, dining out, youtube videos, and social media. But the most important thing about Kara is her beautiful, caring soul. When she was little, she would pick her mom a flower almost every day because she knew Mom loved flowers. She grew up doing small gestures ‘just because’. She’s generous to a fault, intelligent, a hard worker, and quick-witted.

She is truly such a light to this world and mom cannot wait to see what this kind young lady will grow into and choose to do in life.
