SHERIFF SCOTT TO PRESENT AT TIGER BAY LUNCHEON

Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida’s upcoming presentation will feature Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott.

Registration for the luncheon meeting will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and program at11:45 a.m. on March 28 at the Marina at Edison Ford.

With questions still swirling around Parkland, Scott will share insights about school safety, second amendment rights and what Lee County is doing in response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act.

After two years with the Florida Department of Correction, Scott joined the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, where he was elected Sheriff in 2004 and re-elected in 2008.

He has been recognized with numerous awards, including Law Enforcement Coordinator of the Year, Southeastern Crime Stoppers Association; President’s Award, Florida Crime Prevention Association; and Safe at Home Award, Children’s Home Society. He’s also served as criminal justice instructor and program manager for Southwest Florida College and is a past chair of the School Board of St. Francis School.

The event is open to the public. Registration is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Seating is limited. Reservations can be made online at www.swfltigerbay.org.
