Driver Responsible for Fatal Thanksgiving Day Crash Arrested

The man whose reckless driving led to a terrible Thanksgiving 2017 crash and the death of a young woman has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.

On November 23, 2017 (Thanksgiving Day) Cape Coral Police officers responded to the 900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway for a traffic crash involving the death of a driver, Kennya Yolibeth Gonzalez Ojeda.

After conducting a detailed and lengthy investigation, Kenneth Graves (DOB: 2-24-81) was found to be at-fault for the traffic crash, and probable cause was established that found he had operated a vehicle in a reckless manner which caused Ms. Gonzalez Ojeda’s death.

With the help of the State Attorney’s Office, Graves was placed under arrest while he was visiting his probation officer by CCPD Detective Fordham and the U.S. Marshals Task Force. He was turned over to CCPD Ofc. C. Mills to be transported to the Lee County Jail.
