CAPE CORAL FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL TOY DRIVE

Cape Coral Fire Department is collecting toys and gifts at all 10 fire stations throughout the City

This week the Cape Coral Fire Department will be collecting toys and gifts for children in our community who have special needs, suffer from chronic illnesses such as cancer, are in foster care, or have families struggling with financial difficulties.

If you would like to contribute, please bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift to any Cape Coral fire station by Friday, December 15. Donations for boys and girls of all ages (newborn to 17 years) are needed. Gifts for teens are often in short supply. Please consider donating gift cards, make up, body soaps and lotions, perfume or cologne, arts and crafts supplies, sport equipment, or entertainment items for this age group.

Collection boxes for the toy drive are located at each of the 10 fire stations throughout Cape Coral:

“The generosity of residents, visitors, volunteers, and businesses has been staggering,” says Fire Chief Donald K. Cochran, “For over 20 years they have helped the Cape Coral Fire Department provide toys and gifts to Cape Coral children in need and make their holiday a little bit brighter. We thank them for their continued help in supporting this great cause.”

Last year over 4000 toys were collected and over 1000 children received gifts. This year the Cape Coral Fire Department is working with even more charities, as well as individuals, and hope to be able to reach even more children in need. For more information on the toy drive, such as specific gift needs/requests, please visit the Cape Coral Fire Department’s Facebook page (CapeCoralFD) or website (www.capecoral.net/fire).
