Car Burglar Trying Door Handles Caught by Sharp-Eyed Citizen

A sharp-eyed citizen out on her patio late at night spotted a burglar trying to open cars in the parking lot and called him in to the police.

On November 6, 2017 at approximately 3 a.m. a citizen was on her 3rd floor patio at the 1700 block of Four Mile Cove Parkway when she observed a white male, later identified as Keith Cooper (DOB: 9-2-96) trying car door handles below in the parking lot. She watched as Cooper entered her own vehicle and removed items, then saw him enter an additional unlocked vehicle. The citizen called police, and responding officers apprehended Cooper while he was still in sight of the citizen. Further investigation led to Cooper’s arrest for 2 counts of vehicle burglary. Cooper was transported to the Lee County Jail.
