City Boats Ramps to Close Temporarily for Maintenance

Three City boat ramps will be closed temporarily this week while crews fill holes at the bottom of the concrete ramps using sandbags.  Ramps will be closed from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the designated day while crews drop the sandbags.  Boaters are advised to plan accordingly.

Here are the ramp closures:

Burnt Store Ramp – Tuesday
BMX Ramp – Wednesday
Rosen Park Ramp – Thursday

About 500 sandbags will be used to plug the holes, which are created over time due to the prop wash from loading boats on trailers.  The City conducts this maintenance on an annual basis as needed.
