CAPE CORAL POLICE DEPARTMENT “CCPD & Oasis Elementary Toy Drive” Benefiting Foster Genies of SWFL.

What is the Cape Coral Police Department’s ‘CCPD & Oasis Elementary Toy Drive’?

The CCPD & Oasis Elementary Toy drive is an event whereby Cape Coral Police Officers partner with the Staff, Faculty, Students and their parents of Oasis Elementary School to collect new, unwrapped toy donations. The toys are given to a children’s’ charity. This year’s recipient is Foster Genies.

Officers will join the Faculty of Oasis Elementary at the parent drop-off line in the morning and collect new, unwrapped toys and greet the students. This event is a fun way to have positive interaction between police officers and children, all while collecting toys for less fortunate kids during the holidays.

When is this year’s event?

This year’s event will be held on Tuesday December 20th before school at the parent drop-off line at Oasis Elementary School.

How can I get involved?

Bring a new, unwrapped toy with your child to school on Tuesday December 20th.  Cape Coral Police Officers will be greeting students that morning at the parent drop-off line to collect the donations.

About ‘Foster Genies’

Foster Genies was established in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) to support local foster families in SWFL. Children are being removed from their homes at an alarming rate in the state of Florida. In fact, Florida is second to only Texas in the number of children being serviced by The Department of Children and Families. Here in SWFL, we currently have approximately half of the homes we need to place children after they have been removed from harmful situations.

Our mission is to celebrate the families in our community who graciously volunteer to open their door and their hearts to these children!

Your donations will be given to foster children in our community who otherwise would go without this holiday season.
